On Friday 8 February 2019, Frédérique Vidal, the Minister for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and Guillaume Boudy, Secretary General for Investment, revealed the list of the 103 laboratories of excellence (LabEx) which will be able to continue for a further 5 years. This list of renewed LabEx laboratories includes four run by the community of universities and institutions: Futurs Urbains, Modelling and Experimentation for Sustainable Construction (MMCD), Innovation and techniques in society (SITES-Sciences) et Models and algorithms: from the discrete to the continuous (Bézout). The continuation of the 103 LabEx facilities represents an additional financial commitment to research of 444 million euros by the government.
