Université Paris-Est organised the first Paris-Est Science Day at Université Gustave Eiffel (Marne-la-Vallée Campus) on September 24, 2020.

The event, which was also accessible via videoconference, brought together around 50 researchers and research fellows from Paris-Est Sup’s member and partner institutions.

ComUE’s president and first vice-president presented the institution’s new missions as well as the scientific programmes – UPEC’s E-City and Université Gustave Eiffel’s Observatory of Urban Data – proposed in the 2020/2024 draft site agreement and the new regional brand.

The morning continued with the Projects Forum, where ComUE’s new project mission and the 2020 call for start-up projects were presented. Launched in May 2020, this call aims to introduce new joint initiatives between the site’s member and partner institutions. Researchers also had the opportunity to submit their scientific projects to the community and to offer to take part in additional scientific aspects awaiting development.
