The fifth science day of the Institut Santé-Travail Paris-Est (Paris-Est Occupational Health Institute) will take place on Thursday 21 November 2019 at Créteil Intercommunal Hospital. Its theme will be  "Chronic illnesses, disability and work".

Law No. 2018-771 "For the freedom to choose one's professional future" expresses the desire, particularly in the section concerning the obligation to employ disabled workers (obligation d’emploi des travailleurs handicapés – OETH), to focus the efforts of businesses and public bodies on recruitment, job retention, the transition from the protected and adapted sector to the ordinary sector, and training for people with disabilities. This law is all the more important because, despite the impetus provided by the Law of 11 February 2005, the Law of 20 July 2011 and their implementing decrees, obstacles and delays persist with regard to the employment of people with disabilities.

In light of these observations, the aim of the Day is to explore the challenges but above all the employment and job retention levers for people with disabilities, not only from the point of view of the fundamental values of solidarity and corporate social responsibility, but also from a methodological point of view according to pathologies, vulnerabilities in the workplace and the medico-technical approach to compensation and rehabilitation.

This conference is intended for researchers in all subjects concerned with the fields of health, work and disability. It will be of interest to stakeholders in the world of occupational health, management and human resources in general.

This day is free to attend, but for organisation and security reasons, attendees must register with Julie CAPON : Julie.Capon@chicreteil.fr - 01 57 02 28 77 by 30 September 2019.
