1. The candidate submits their application.
2. On the basis of two admissibility opinions issued by experts who are not members of the thesis defence jury and on proposal by the Doctoral Training Council Bureau, the President of University Paris-Est (UPE) decides on the candidate's registration.
3. On the basis of a minimum of three reports, at least two of which must be external to the establishment, generally drawn up by members sitting on the thesis defence jury, the President of UPE authorizes the presentation to the jury. He decides on the composition of the jury based on proposals made by the candidate and after consultation with the Doctoral Training Council Bureau.
4. At the end of the candidate's defence of their HDR thesis, the jury deliberates and transmits its decision to the president of UPE. The latter issues the diploma.

2018-2019 CAMPAIGN FOR TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS

Please note! Check the registration calendar for teacher qualification. You may have to register before you are granted your authorization to defend your HDR.
The complete application for HDR defence must be submitted to the HDR office during May and no later than 7 September 2018, to ensure defence may be undertaken before 14 December 2018. The application declaration must be submitted to the French Ministry for National Education, Higher Education and Research website.
